loud noisemorning disturbance
the bed creaked LOUDLY at every turn. traffic NOISE was noticeable in the early hours from a busy junction near the pub. additionally, housekeeping entered the room at 9am on a sunday. it woke us up and it was hard to get back to sleep, resulting in little sleep.

i found the staff greeted me warmly on arrival and check-in was quick. The hotel location allowed easy access to nearby attractions. The bar service was excellent, and i enjoyed the delicious and generous evening meal. every staff member was friendly and helpful.
the one very slight issue was that it sounded like the housekeeping hadn't fully shut the door. our door got slightly stuck and didn't close correctly because of the thick carpets. other than that i had a lovely experience.

the room had skirting boards. they had a thick layer of dust and there were some stains on the walls too. tap in sink and bath were loose, also there was some mold around bath seal.

the room was lovely and central. it had great facilities, including air conditioning. staff were friendly and breakfast was excellent with well thought out portions, so we were charmed
i found the whole place a little tired, unfortunately. it NEEDS a freshen up, including repainting. the cleaning leaves a lot to be desired and we moved rooms BECAUSE of poor housekeeping, a HUGE disappointment ESPECIALLY at this time.
